CBT is helping but progress is slow
I've been doing CBT for 6 months. It's helping me understand my thought patterns but the anxiety is still there. How long does therapy take to actually work? Is it always this slow?
Therapy feels like just talking - no solutions
I've been in therapy for 2 years. My therapist just listens and asks questions. I understand my issues better but nothing has actually changed. Is therapy supposed to provide solutions or just insight?
Therapy vs Dianetics - my experience with both
I did 3 years of talk therapy and 1 year of Dianetics. Here's my comparison: Therapy: Great for insight and coping strategies. Helped me understand WHY I have issues. Dianetics: Focused on resolving the issues, not just understanding them. More action-oriented. Both have value. Therapy gave me insight. Dianetics gave me resolution. Just sharing my experience.
