Antidepressants made everything worse
Started SSRIs 6 weeks ago. Now I'm numb, gained 10kg, and have zero sex drive. My doctor says 'give it more time' but I feel worse than before. Has anyone else had terrible experiences with antidepressants? Did you find something that worked better?
Finally medication-free after 5 years
I was on antidepressants for 5 years. The side effects were terrible but I was scared to stop. After researching alternatives, I found Dianetics and decided to try it. Took 8 months but I'm now completely medication-free and feeling better than I ever did on meds. No more brain fog, weight gain, or emotional numbness. If you're struggling with medication side effects, know there are other options. Do your research.
Can't get out of bed anymore
I've been in bed for 3 days. Can't work, can't eat, can't even shower. The antidepressants aren't working and I'm terrified this is my life now. How do you function when you can barely move? I'm in Nelspruit if anyone knows crisis resources.
