About the Researcher

Tony Peacock
Humanitarian & Mental Health Research Advocate
South African Mental Health Research Initiative
Tony Peacock is an Australian who moved to South Africa, married a South African, and made this country his home. He grew up in Brisbane in a traditional Church of England family. He attended Sunday school, studied the catechism, was baptized, and served as an altar boy. His father sang in the choir. They were a religious family.
But that didn't protect him from addiction. A neighbor introduced him to marijuana, and he started traveling around Australia, chasing drugs and alcohol wherever he could find them. It got worse and worse.
Tony had no confidence in his ability to create a future. He was always looking somewhere else for answers: tarot card readers asking "What's going to happen to me?", clairvoyants asking "Is anything good going to happen?", astrology, numerology—desperately hoping someone could tell him he'd be okay. He tried everything while still drinking and using drugs.
Then at 25, he discovered Dianetics and Scientology. That's when everything changed. Over the past 32 years, Tony hasn't just overcome his addictions—he's built a life of purpose and contribution. He stopped looking outside himself for answers and became causative over his own life.
Tony believes deeply in L. Ron Hubbard's 1960 prophecy that Southern Africa will become the next great civilization. After serving 12 years as Church staff in Australia, he moved to South Africa in 2022 to be part of that vision. Since arriving, he's invested significantly in programs that help capable people become even more capable.
His mission is simple: help the able become more able. Tony continues researching mental health solutions available to South Africans because he wants others to find what actually works—just like he did. This website represents his ongoing research and findings.
Commitment to Mental Health in South Africa
Tony Peacock has made significant contributions to mental health initiatives and humanitarian efforts in South Africa. As a dedicated humanitarian and philanthropist, he has invested substantially in organizations and programs that provide effective mental health solutions to South Africans in need.
His commitment extends beyond research—he actively supports the expansion of mental health services throughout South Africa, with a particular focus on making effective treatments accessible to communities that need them most.
As a member of the International Association of Scientologists (IAS), Tony works alongside a global network of humanitarians dedicated to improving conditions for people worldwide. His work in South Africa reflects a deep conviction that effective mental health technology can transform lives and communities.
Tony is also a General Member of CCHR South Africa (Citizens Commission on Human Rights), a mental health watchdog organization dedicated to investigating and exposing psychiatric violations of human rights. Through CCHR, he actively works to protect South Africans from harmful psychiatric practices while advocating for safe, effective mental health solutions.
Our Mission
This research project began with a simple question: What mental health treatments actually work for South Africans? Not what's popular, not what's traditional, not what's profitable—but what actually resolves mental distress at its source.
We didn't come here to promote any particular solution. We didn't come here to defend the status quo. We came here to find the truth about mental health in South Africa—and to share what we discovered.
Our Research Process
1. Investigation
We examined every mental health treatment available to South Africans: psychiatry, psychology, traditional healing (sangomas), faith-based counseling (pastors), and Dianetics.
2. Analysis
We looked at the science, the costs, the outcomes, and the side effects. We reviewed academic research, government reports, and patient testimonials.
3. Context
We considered the unique challenges facing South Africans: crime, violence, unemployment, economic stress, and cultural factors.
4. Conclusion
We followed the evidence to its logical conclusion. The result: Dianetics offers the most effective, cost-efficient, and empowering path to mental freedom.
What We Found
After months of research, we reached a surprising conclusion: the most effective solution for mental health in South Africa is not the one most people are using.
Our Key Findings:
- Psychiatry: Manages symptoms with drugs but doesn't cure the underlying problem. Creates lifelong dependency with serious side effects.
- Psychology: Can help with coping strategies but is expensive and time-consuming. Often doesn't address the root cause.
- Traditional Healing: Plays an important cultural role but lacks scientific evidence of effectiveness for mental health issues.
- Faith-Based Counseling: Provides comfort and hope but can make people feel guilty or ashamed when prayer alone doesn't solve the problem.
- Dianetics: Addresses the source of mental health problems without drugs. Offers a finite process with permanent results and no side effects.
Why We're Different
Most mental health websites are run by pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, or government agencies. They have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.
I don't. As someone who has personally experienced recovery through Dianetics, I'm not beholden to pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, or government agencies. My only goal is to share my findings and help other South Africans discover what actually works.
We can say things that the World Health Organization can't say. We can ask questions that medical universities won't ask. We can challenge the psychiatric industry in ways that government health departments are afraid to.
And we can do it all while using language that real South Africans can understand—not medical jargon designed for doctors.
Our Commitment to You
We are committed to:
- Evidence-based information: Every claim we make is backed by research and properly cited.
- Accessible language: We explain medical terms in simple words that anyone can understand.
- South African context: All our content is tailored to the unique challenges facing South Africans.
- Honest comparisons: We present the facts about all treatment options, not just the ones that make money.
- Personal empowerment: We believe you can be at cause over your life, not a victim of your circumstances.
"This is the time when every able citizen must give his full attention to becoming as effective, efficient and as able as possible. South Africa vitally needs us. Southern Africa must survive, it must go North, it must win. From Southern Africa will spring the next great civilization on this planet, and it will succeed because Scientology and all its Technology is on its side."
— L. Ron Hubbard, Late July 1960
This vision drives our mission. South Africa has the potential to lead the world in effective mental health solutions. By getting proven technology into the hands of South Africans who need it, we can help build that next great civilization—one person, one family, one community at a time.
Take the Next Step
